Vegetarian Cottage Cheese Recipe Ingredients

  • 250 g hard plain tofu
  • 1/2 cup fine tofu (silky) – essential to have the creaminess
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. coconut or sesame oil
  • 1 tsp. coconut oil
  • 1 tsp. 1 tsp agave syrup or maple syrup (agave will give a more neutral taste)
  • 1 tsp. vegan mayonnaise
  • Sea salt, to taste


  1. Put the firm tofu to steam for 10 minutes. It is essential for taste.
  2. Let the tofu cool.
  3. Crumble the cooled tofu to obtain small pieces suggestive of the lumps of regular cottage cheese.
  4. Put the silky tofu in a food processor with oil, vinegar, lemon juice, and agave syrup.
  5. Mix to obtain a thick creamy mixture. If it’s too thick, add a few spoons of plain rice or almond milk, or water.
  6. Add the combined mixture to the crumbled tofu and 1 tsp. vegan mayonnaise.
  7. Salt to taste.
